The Bergere family farms 45 hectares of vines in the lesser known Vallee du Petit Morin, south of Epernay and north of Sezanne and have been in the area since the 1800s. 3rd generation brother and sister are working towards organic conversion in the vineyards and have started a perpetual reserve for added complexity in the wines. This wine is made from 70% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir, and 10% Meunier. We love it paired with Fried Chicken, Sushi Takeout, or Tater Tots. It has toasty flavours of creaminess, fresh baked bread and sourdough, all underpinned by smoky hints of mushrooms and an outstanding long finish. Spicy aromas with notes of tart apple and pear and a full, dry finish.
