Mauro Spertino took the reins from his father Luigi a couple decades ago. The Spertino estate near Asti has been in the family for over 120 years, but it was Luigi and now Mauro who really increased the quality and helped bring the wines into the 21st century. The 2022 Grignolino d’Asti is absolutely beautiful. This is a wine that is meant to be enjoyed young and the elegant, forward nature of the vintage only makes that more true. The wild, floral aromas leap from the glass and the super fine texture combines seamlessly with the classic structural frame of the wine.
