The Guarini family history in Puglia goes back to the 1000s, with winemaking since at least 1114. However, even to this day they are more known for their other agrictultural products, especially olive oil. We were delighted to offer the wines from this Salento peninsula estate: they are tasty, well-made and reasonably priced! This Primitivo is medium-bodied, juicy and very easy to drink, with a mix of dark red fruits and a classic Mediterranean herb accent that counters the fruit. It finishes dry but soft, with just a smattering of tannins, making it an ideal red for the party or picnic table...or just hanging out! Serve at a cool 60-62F. Try it with burgers and Mediterranean appetizers.
