The annual job of pruning vines hasn’t happened for five years now, making the vineyard ‘graupert’ or ‘unkempt’. The resulting fruit from the unpruned vines is smaller in size but richer in flavour. This is 100% Grauburgunder (Austrian for Pinot Gris), an aromatic and complex wine, that goes from fruity to smoky notes, with aromas of peach, strawberry and caramel.
