The Collets are the biggest owners on this hill with ten hectares divided up into fifteen different parcels. Butteaux, the third and western-most lieu-dit on the Montmains hill has the most upfront and rich appeal, more akin to the 1er Crus on the other side of the river. 2017 is a classic vintage (like 2014) with freshness, poise, clarity and tension and great ageing potential. The nose of bright and heavy on the mineral notes of wet stone and flint. The palate is fuller-bodied compared to his other 1er crus and is the perfect match with briny oysters.
